Let’s face it: 2020 was a crap year. A global pandemic, economic uncertainty among other social and political turmoil didn’t call for much to celebrate. Party City decided to say f*** it and flip the negativity on its head. Enter FU 2020 – a campaign focused on bidding adieu to the disastrous year. Through custom merchandise and an epic photo and video shoot, we played up the cheeky tone of the product line (enter: smashing cakes and creating our own ‘wreck-it’ room) and gave people something to celebrate: saying goodbye to one of the worst years in recent history.
